Ton bags, also known as container bags, are large-capacity, high-strength packaging bags that are widely used in the chemical, building materials, grain, mineral and other industries to package, store and transport various bulk materials. The production process requires a series of sophisticated process steps, from raw material selection to finished product delivery, and each link is crucial.
1.Good raw materials determine good ton bags
The raw material of ton bags is mainly polypropylene (PP) granules, which is a thermoplastic with good physical and mechanical properties, chemical stability and processing performance. The selection of raw materials is directly related to the strength and durability of ton bags. High-quality PP granules should be uniform in color, free of impurities, and have a moderate melt index to ensure fluidity and molding effect during subsequent processing. When purchasing raw materials, manufacturers need to strictly screen suppliers and conduct performance tests on raw materials, including but not limited to tensile strength, elongation at break, thermal stability, etc., to ensure that each batch of raw materials meets production standards.
2.Wire drawing, the basis for subsequent steps
Wire drawing is the process of heating and melting PP granules and then extruding them into continuous filaments through an extruder die. This process requires precise control of the extrusion temperature, pulling speed and thickness of the filaments to ensure the strength and uniformity of the filaments. Wire drawing machines are usually equipped with multiple heating zones, which gradually heat up to completely melt the granules and then extrude them through a precision die. After the extruded filaments are cooled and solidified, they are rolled into a roll to provide raw materials for subsequent weaving. During the wire drawing process, attention should also be paid to the control of environmental humidity and temperature to prevent the filaments from being damp or overheated, which may lead to quality degradation.
3.Weaving, circular weaving is a common technology
Weaving is the process of weaving PP wires obtained by drawing into cloth through circular looms or flat looms. Circular weaving is a common weaving method for ton bags. It uses warp and weft to cross-weave to form a tubular structure, and then cuts and sews it into a bag body. During the weaving process, the tension of the warp and weft, the weaving density and the flatness of the cloth surface must be strictly controlled to ensure the strength and wear resistance of the fabric. In addition, according to customer needs, the fabric can also be specially treated, such as anti-ultraviolet, anti-static, anti-tear, etc., to enhance its functionality.
4.Webbing to strengthen the overall load-bearing capacity of ton bags
Webbing is an important component of ton bags, used to strengthen key parts such as the bag mouth and slings to improve the overall load-bearing capacity. The raw material of webbing is also PP silk thread, but it is usually thicker and stronger than the silk thread used for weaving. The webbing machine weaves the silk thread into a ribbon through a specific weaving method, and then cuts it into the appropriate length and width according to the design requirements. The strength and durability of the webbing directly affect the safety performance of the ton bag. Therefore, the production of webbing also requires strict quality control and tensile testing to ensure compliance with safety standards.
5.Cutting, a high-precision process
Cutting is the process of cutting fabrics and webbing into required parts according to the designed size and shape. This step requires high precision, because any slight error may affect the capacity, load-bearing capacity and sealing of the ton bag. Before cutting, a detailed cutting plan must be formulated according to the order requirements, and high-precision cutting equipment must be used for operation, and marking must be done at the same time to facilitate subsequent sewing. The cut materials must be properly stored to avoid scratches and contamination.
6.Sewing is a good craft
Sewing is the process of connecting the cut fabric and ribbon together through a sewing machine or a heat sealer to form the main body of the ton bag. Sewing technology directly affects the strength and sealing of the ton bag. Common sewing methods include flat seams, lock seams and heat seals. For load-bearing parts, such as the connection between the sling and the bag body, reinforced sewing or special fasteners are required to ensure that it is not easy to break when subjected to heavy loads. During the sewing process, attention should also be paid to the uniformity of the stitches, the rationality of the stitch length and the strength of the sutures to ensure the sewing quality.
7.Acceptance, inspection of ton bags, the first step
Acceptance is the process of conducting a preliminary inspection of the finished ton bags to confirm whether their appearance, size, and structure meet the design requirements. The acceptance personnel need to check the jumbo bags one by one, including whether the bag body is flat and undamaged, whether the stitching is firm, whether the slings are symmetrical, etc. Any problems found should be recorded and fed back to the production department in a timely manner for timely adjustment or rework. Qualified products will enter the next stage of quality inspection.
8.Quality inspection and hoisting test are essential
The lifting test is the most critical part of the ton bag quality inspection, which aims to verify the load-bearing capacity and safety of the ton bag in actual use. During the experiment, the ton bag is filled with a specified weight of materials (usually 1.25 times its designed load-bearing capacity), and then lifted by a crane or other lifting equipment to simulate the transportation and loading and unloading process. During the period, it is necessary to observe whether the ton bag is deformed, damaged, or the sling is broken. The lifting test is not only the final test of the quality of the ton bag, but also an important basis for ensuring that the product meets safety standards. All ton bags that pass the lifting test will be considered qualified products and enter the next stage.
