BOPP rice bags have many advantages and are widely used in the field of rice packaging. The following is a brief introduction:

Material and structure

• Material: Mainly made of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film, which has high transparency, good mechanical properties and chemical resistance.

• Structure: It is often a multi-layer composite structure, such as BOPP/PE (polyethylene), in which the BOPP layer provides good printability, stiffness and barrier properties, and the PE layer is responsible for heat sealing performance to ensure that the bag is tightly sealed.

Physical properties

• Thickness: Usually between 10-18 threads, 1-3kg rice bags are generally 10-12 threads thick, and 5kg rice bags are generally 12-18 threads thick.

• Transparency: High transparency, low haze, can clearly show the appearance of rice and enhance product appeal.

• Density: About 0.90-0.91g/cm³, light weight, can reduce transportation costs.

Mechanical properties

• Tensile strength: The longitudinal and transverse tensile strengths are high, reaching 50-200MPa respectively, which can bear the weight of rice and is not easy to break during transportation and storage.

• Elongation at break: 50%-120% in the longitudinal direction and 70%-170% in the transverse direction, which makes the bag flexible and can adapt to the filling and movement of rice.

Thermal properties

• Melting point: around 160-170°C, with good thermal stability, and will not deform due to temperature changes under normal storage and transportation conditions.

• Heat sealing performance: The heat sealing temperature range is 90-140°C. The heat sealing process can achieve a good sealing effect to prevent the rice from getting damp and contaminated.

Chemical properties

• Chemical resistance: It has good tolerance to acids, alkalis, oils, etc., which can avoid chemical reactions between rice and packaging bags and ensure the quality of rice.

• Water resistance: It is not easy to absorb water, and can effectively block external moisture from entering the bag to prevent the rice from getting damp and mildewing.

Appearance and Printing

• Appearance: The surface is smooth and shiny. You can choose glossy or matte film to meet the needs of different customers.

• Printing: The printing adaptability is good. It can be beautifully printed by gravure printing, flexographic printing, etc. The pattern is clear and the color is bright, which enhances the product image and is convenient for displaying brand and product information.

Specifications and Sizes

• Capacity: There are many capacity specifications, the common ones are 1kg, 2kg, 5kg, 10kg, 25kg, 50kg, etc., to meet the needs of different consumers and markets.

• Size: The length and width are diverse. For example, a 25kg rice bag may be 30x12 inches (length x width), etc., which can be customized according to capacity and actual needs.

Functional Features

• Moisture resistance: Low moisture permeability, can effectively block external moisture and keep rice dry.

• Insect resistance: Good sealing performance can prevent pests from entering the bag and protect rice from insects.

• UV resistance: It can resist ultraviolet radiation and reduce the quality changes of rice caused by light.
